Top 7 cases NOT covered by home insurance policies:

 

The insurance policy does not cover cases directly or indirectly related to any of the following,

 

  1. Any assets/belongings that are not owned by the home owner and which they are not legally liable for.
  2. Damage caused by a family member or by those employed by the family.
  3. Damage caused by renters to the home or assets within the home if the insurance company has not been informed prior to renting the property.
  4. Damage caused to the home’s interior or exterior if the property is left unattended for more than 30 days without informing the insurance company first.
  5. Damage caused by terrorist acts.
  6. Damage caused by war.
  7. Nuclear radiation.

 

The insurance company may approve the coverage of one or more of the above exceptions per the client’s request for an additional fee.

  6. Reimbursement of another property’s rent in case the home needs to be repaired.
  7. Civil liability towards others (covers damage caused by the insurance policy owner to a third party’s property).
  8. Civil liability by the owner (repairing damage caused to the owner’s property)
